Lego Robotics – Early Elementary
June 26 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Lego Spike Essential adds block style programming to Lego brick creations, adding fun action to things you build.
SPIKE Essential is generally designed for younger students, often in the early to upper elementary grades. SPIKE Prime is typically aimed at upper elementary to middle school. They both teach coding concepts such as sequences, loops and decisions, using a block coding language similar to Scratch.
Students will work individually or in pairs with a Lego Essentials kit. Time will be split between learning how to build a robotic device, and programming basic robotic functions. Lego programming is done in Scratch-like block coding.
After this lesson you can make additional appointments to learn more, continue building, or to put this topic into use.
